Pairs:
Black and white conductors shall be uniformly twisted together to form a pair and numeral numbering shall be printed along the white core for pair identification.

Pair screen (optional):
When individual pair screen required, aluminium / polyester tape with metallic side downward in contact with an annealed plain capper drain wire of diameter 0.8mm.

Laying up:
The required number of pair shall be twisted together to form a compact circular core. Where necessary fillers may be applied.

Overall screen (optional):
When required, aluminium / polyester tape with metallic side downward in contact with an annealed plain copper drain wire of diameter 0.8mm.

Bedding: (applicable to Type 2 cable only)

Armoured : (applicable to Type 2 cable only)
The armour shall consists of a single layer of galvanised steel wires.

Sheath:
Extruded black or grey PVC compound type TM 1
